Some of my all-time top favorite books have been written by self-proclaimed past “economic hit man,” John Perkins. I first fell in love with his prose while reading his autobiographical accounts of living with the Shuar in the rain forest jungle of Ecuador, The World is as you Dream It: Teachings from the Amazon and Andes. This book touched my heart and soul deeply in profound ways, as it provided insights into ways that humans live cooperatively with the Earth. The World Is As You Dream It is one of those rare books that tells a riveting story at the same time as it provides deep insights into what makes us who we are and the world what it is. While the notion that we’re living “in a simulation” is applauded as something novel and new, the people Perkins writes about have long known this truth, yet held it in sacred reverence, with appreciation that this simulation we think is so modern and new has been appreciated as dreaming, or what indigenous Aborigines call “Dreamtime.”
I looked to find what else John Perkins had written, and was glad to see he’d written an autobiographical account of his days working as an "Economic Hit Man.”
What is an “Economic Hit Man” and what difference have they made in our lives? I interviewed John Perkins, and he talked with me about how he and others worked as Economic Hit Men to cheat countries out of trillions of dollars while spreading the structure and value of “death economy” greed-based values. Perkins provides insights as to how the deadly EHM ‘cancer’ that he and others helped create has recently spread more widely around the world and here in the United States to become the dominant system of business, government, and society today–and what we each can do to make a positive difference. John Perkins is author of several books, including “The World is As You Dream It” and “The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man.”
I interviewed John Perkins in my March 2016 interview, Creating A Life Economy with John Perkins, for my podcast, Living the Quantum Dream. We got a chance to discuss how we might go about turning things around in a world that seems to be turning off course:

All of this seems to matter so much more these days, when so many of the critical thinkers of our time are feeling discouraged as their voices are canceled if they raise any questions or dare think anything different than the official corporate-sanctioned ‘truths.’ One of these critical thinkers is Dr. Robert Malone, who now invites us to consider how best we might proceed when faced with what appears to be Techno-facism, Techno-feudalism, or perhaps even Indentured Servitude. This all might seem a bit extreme, unless you’ve found yourself ‘canceled’ from social media, or downright maliciously maligned by the media.
The good news is that we can start to create a “Life Economy” at just the exact time that we are most in need of one. We can facilitate the transformation of unbalanced, unsustainable ‘death economies’ that exploit people and natural resources into a Life Economy founded on sustainable, regenerative practices, with respect for all living beings. This represents an old idea with some new names, including “Life Economy,” and what I think of as Revhumanism—a shining, beckoning alternative to Transhumanism, Technocracy, Techno-facism, Techno-feudalism, and the rest.
If you know me, and watch my YouTube videos or read my articles or books, then you know I love to remain optimistic, despite whatever may appear to be happening. This attitude of optimism is a truly rebellious act, and it has the power—through imagination—to introduce miraculous transformation and change. Just as a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, a journey into a new Revhumanism reality begins with a single question: “How good can it get?”
